Ingredients
- 1/2 cup cottage cheese
- 2 tbsp cocoa powder

- 1 egg
- 1 tbsp semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- Toss your cottage cheese, cocoa powder, chocolate protein powder, and egg into a microwave-safe bowl or mug. Mix until the mixture is combined. You can blend in a blender or food processor if you desire a smoother texture, but I prefer without blending. Then add chocolate chips and mix around.
- Pop it into the microwave for 90 seconds. The top should be mostly set, but the inside should be ooey-gooey, just like any good lava cake should be. Keep an eye on it—nobody wants an overcooked lava cake!
- As soon as it’s done, let it cool for a minute (if you can wait that long), then dive in! The rich, molten center will ooze out like the chocolatey surprise it is. Top with a dollop of Greek yogurt, whipped cream, ice cream, or even more chocolate if you’re feeling extra.
