Ingredients

  1. 3 lbs peaches (about 10 peaches), peeled and sliced (about 6 cups)
  2. 1/2 cup brown sugar
  3. 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  4. 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  5. 1 (16 ounce) box yellow cake mix
  6. 1 1/2 sticks unsalted butter, cut into 1-inch pieces


Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease 11×7 or 9×9 baking dish.
  • In baking dish, combine peaches, brown sugar, cinnamon, and cornstarch and toss until peaches are evenly coated.
  • Sprinkle cake mix over peach mixture.
  • Evenly distribute pads of butter over top of cake mixture.
  • Bake until topping is golden brown and juices are bubbling, about 50-60 minutes.
  • Let cool on wire rack for at least 20-30 minutes before serving.
