Strawberry Kiss Cookies

Ingredients

  • 1 box strawberry cake mix
  • 2 tablespoons all purpose flour
  • ¼ cup vegetable oil
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tablespoon milk
  • granulated sugar – for rolling
  • Hershey Kisses


Instructions

  • Mix the vegetable oil and the eggs together in a large bowl and mix until combined.
  • Slowly mix in the all-purpose flour as well as the strawberry cake mix.
  • Add in the tablespoon of milk. Mix the batter just until a cookie dough forms.
  • Scoop the cookies into balls (use a #30 cookie scoop or by using 2 tablespoonsful).
  • Roll the cookie balls into granulated sugar.
  • Cover the bowl of cookie dough and chill for at least 1 hour in the refrigerator.
  • Preheat the oven to 375ºF and line two cookie sheets with parchment paper. Set aside.
  • Bake one cookie sheet at a time for 8 to 10 minutes. Keep the remaining cookie dough in the refrigerator between batches.
  • Immediately out of the oven, gently press a chocolate kiss into the center of each cookie, pressing just enough to nestle the kisses down into the cookies.
  • Allow cooling before transferring for storage.
